#37/100 – Stand By Me, featuring street-musicians of the World

Such a beautiful thing.

Dont judge a person “by it’s cover” – every human being is born with innate skills and qualities that can be developed throughout our life time.

And what talent these musicians have! Listening to the music and hearing the same song sung by people all over the world, I am affected – it touches my heart. Doesn’t it touch yours?

Admit it – how many times do you pass people on the street, anybody really, and think “that person must have great talent!” – not often, right? Specially if the person looks likes different from you, she/he appears to be homeless, dirty and under the influence. But the thing is, we all have talent in one way or another. We are all human beings, created with the same capacity.

Dont judge a person “by it’s cover”!

The story behind Playing for Change is… “while walking down the street in Santa Monica, CA, the voice of Roger Ridley singing Stand By me was heard from a block away. His voice, soul and passion set us on a course around the world to add other musicians to his performance. This song transformed Playing For Change from a small group of individuals to a global movement for peace and understanding. This track features over 35 musicians collaborating from all over the world. They may have never met in person, but in this case, the music does the talking.”

How cool is it that these guys heard one person singing, got the idea to record other musicians across the globe, singing the same song – doing their interpretation.
Talent.
Beauty.
